Melbourne’s newest, funkiest, most innovative computer gaming, trading card, table top game, movie memorabilia and pop culture store is opening soon.

Pro GamerS and Collectables [PGS for short] will be a haven for computer gamers, trading card players, movie buffs, sci-fi and fantasy enthusiasts, cosplayers, and collectors of movie memorabilia, premium statues, replicas and pop culture posters and trinkets.

Business owners and self-confessed nerds, Emanuel and Vicky Cachia, invite the public to attend the grand opening at 5pm on Friday 19 September dressed as their favourite movie, comic, computer gaming or other character. Attendees of the grand opening will vote on their favourite cosplayer, helping the person with the most votes to receive $100 of store credit, with $50 of store credit awarded to the cosplayer with the second most votes.

Emanuel Cachia, who facilitates creative writing, digital media and game design workshops for the Taylors Hill Youth and Community Centre says, “We are receiving a great response from the local community and via our social media pages. Our goal is to provide a positive environment for our local pop culture community to socialise and have fun. We will be a one-stop-shop for all your pop culture needs!”

Regular in-store activities will include quarterly League of Legends, Magic the Gathering, Pokémon, Minecraft and StarCraft 2 tournaments, with loads of room for casual play, networked computer gaming on high-end gaming rigs, and structured play at certain times throughout the week and on weekends for products such as Dungeons and Dragons, Netrunner, Yu-Gi-OH!, Lord of the Rings LCG, X-Wing Miniatures, Star Trek: Attack Wing and many more.

Pro GamerS and Collectables is located at Shop 15D, 222 Caroline Springs Blvd, Caroline Springs, Victoria 3023.

The store will be open:

Monday to Wednesday 9am to 7pm,
Thursday to Saturday 9am to 9pm,
